My Doram experience/guide/note in iRO Chaos server

When second hand leveling ("leeching") a secondary character, give THEM the Costume Goggles and exp shoes.
The recipient will always level slower than the killer.

Immediately after starting, took freebies from Cat Paw Service located at
/navi lasagna 208/188
Cat Paw Service npc gives free, weightless fly wing and butterfly wings.
Talk to the Kittie the Eraser and the quest will reset, allowing Cat Paw Service to reward again.
As of June 2018 this exploit is still here.
This is extremely helpful as this class does not have a lot of carrying weight to spare.
Repeat until 2010 wings, which was job 11.
Used the skill points to learn Stoop.
You may also grind some more until you have Sprite Mable.
Any more is not really necessary.
At this point it was time for the real game.
Physical build is better damage but runs out SP faster.
Magical build has a lot of survivability and saves a lot of money, but levels slower.

Start the questline to leave the beginner area at outside villiage with Vigilante Aglio npc at
/navi lasa fild01 60/321
which is self explanatory for the most part, keep talking to Aglio.
By the way, Chief Peperonchio is located at
/navi lasagna 235/198
5 Hard Thorn Vine are at
/navi lasa_fild02 340/251
Tali  is located at
/navi lasagna 77/263
Vigilante that the Chief Officer from the ship is referring you to is at
/navi lasagna 298/84
If you don't want to choose between the two good beginner weapons,
feel free to put one weapon into storage, delete the character, and do over the quest with the other
allowing you to keep both.
I was 27/13 when I was done with the beginner quest at Lasagna.
When you get to the port town of Izlude, do the quest near tool shop for 1000 exp.

Find Eden Teleport Officer, and join Eden. Make sure to talk to Academy staff first(activates quest),
or several rewards will be not given.
Do the Eden gear quest given by Instructor Boya, she will send to Prontera Culvert or Payon Cave.
Do the quest, use the NPC by cave entrance to refill HP/SP as needed.
Might be better to grab around 5 green potions at tool shop nearby the cave for the bats.
I mobbed zombies and used Stoop and Scratch to kill them alongside quest objective.
For Prontera Culvert qust, mob thiefbugs.
If not in range for either, just mob Poporings(Prontera BB) at the poring isle until level 33 for edengear.
Eden Gear Ant Hell NPC replenishes HP/SP when talked to.

After the first Eden gear, head to the wolves at moc_fild03.
Wolves /swt2 after chasing for a while, so use that to finish off after hitting with Picky Peck or SSSpear.
Cocos work as well, you can triple take Eden Group, Prontera Bounty, and Geffen Bounty for them.
They die on a single SV Root Twist cast, so you can wear a Slaughter(Sky Deleter) armor for heal-free lvling.
Since it is in multiple towns, use Yellow Butterfly.
Yellow butterfly wings get in the way of resetting skills, so they must be wasted.
Job 24, respec to magic build for CN Meteor by talking to Izlude or Lasana Hypnotist.
Mob at orc dungeon 2 besides a afkgene, also payon cave/sunken ship Hydra patches.
Undersea Tunnel is a good choice too if there is a bot in other spots.
Overlook if (mini/)VIP, with the free Siegfried and Mercenary.
Hide to replenish SP as needed.
Otherwise head to Groves(Comodo BB) at Comodo, meteor/lunatic carrot beating them after mobbing with loot.

At 60 Sidewinders(Prontera BB) exp kicks in at mjolnir_05
At 63 Geographers tend to get grouped up at aldebaran border, so meteor on them.
OR if specced Soul Attack, do Golems(Comodo BB) and Mud Golems for good profit(Golems drop Silver Guard).
At 70 Goat (Juno BB) exp kicks in, and they are great for meteor/picky carrot into stoop combo.
At this point, if VIP, finish overlook dungeon quests.
At 71 go to TI, Glast Heim, or grind Reno's Ground Petit(Geffen BB) quests.

During low TI I specced half magic half support.
With just Eden I gear, Catnip Meteor was good enough to take out mobs(Evil Druid) at one shot.
At this point it was only two days of playing from scratch with all garbage gear.
I specced AGI/INT but it was a mistake, as Tuna Party tanks while casting.
AGI is completely unnecessary as Doram.
I will respec into 2 INT / 1 VIT / 1 DEX rate on next Doram.
It goes without saying, but whatever mobs that are on Spotlights are the best exp, pland accordingly.

Picky Doram stats at 100:
53=STR 120=DEX (more offensive) -or- 80=STR 80=DEX 78=LUK -or- 90=STR 90=DEX 50=LUK 18=INT(more defensive)
-or- 120=STR 53=DEX (Tengu Combo)
2x Plump Earthworm Charm grants 2x damage for Picky
if 90=DEX wear Majorus(budget) or if not wear Rybio
80 x3 stat is for double Arc Angeling+Blood Sucker & MVPing
The other two wear +12 Cursed Book/+9 Vanagand/+9 Rideword
Crow Tengu Mask and Tengu Scroll requires 120 STR but adds 11% damage, as a result it's better.
SPRITE MABLE / HISS 5 power of lock is just Unbarring Octave with worse cooldown, it's garbage(mob resists)
rest goes to the tank skills per preference.

Meteor Doram stats at 100:
120=INT 53=DEX (budget) -or- 120=INT 53=VIT(budget2 hybrid support) -or- 80=INT 80=DEX 80=LUK(highend)
Meow Meow=1 if hybrid/budget. Spec sea skills per preference, recommend Tuna Party=5
Hybrids also may opt to stop at Power of Land which rids of respeccing at 100/continuing TI with party
CN Powdering and Nyang Grass are both debuffs and MVP/PVP skills, do not cast on self/ally
Rune Hairband/StPatrick+reflect(Mad Bunny or Strawberry Mouth Guard or High Orc(budget))
->restores HP/SP while casting, bonus if wearing a statues inflict card on weapon/armor/shield/violy acc
High End setup is +12Pope/Celine's Ribbon+Sunglasses+Mob Scarf

Full/hybrid Support Doram stats at 100:
100=VIT 101=INT(budget) -or- 53=VIT 120=INT(better)
The difference between 53 vit and 100 vit is only 3k HP which is menial
but the difference between 101INT and 120INT is 500 heal points, which is huge
Double Arc Angeling is unneccessary as with Magnificat buff SP is enough.
Spirit of Sea speccing locks into SV Spear=5 type.
Only getting Purring=1 allows Arclouze Dash=5 type(full support/party only).
Stem Spear=5 Support Doram can solo quests, Arclouze Dash=5 Doram cannot.
wear HP increase hats like Turkey/Valentine Heart Hairband/Sweet Valentine.
If Succubus+Incubus combo, don't put them into Turkey like an idiot.

Advise on someone who want to try Rideshares for money

It's a good challenge for 1 month. The sign up challenge was for a thousand dollars, but I reckon it changes from time to time. If you can clear the sign-up bonus quest, then you are good enough to make it your 2nd job. If you can't then it's not for you. Simple as that.
Start with airports, it always will have a passenger waiting for you. You can also find someone who is nice enough to give you heads up there as well.

  • must have
  1. A lot of states require hands-free set for your phone. Get the kind that has clamps for it, the magnetic / glue / suction cup ones don't last worth shit.
  2. Insurance: don't ever drive dirty.

  • highly recommended but not required
  1. an iphone and android charger(usb type c): because faggots will give you shit review for it
  2. a leather seat cover or seat cushion: way easier to clean car seat with these
  3. all weather(plastic) feet dust catcher: the stock upholstery is going to smell like shit and hard to clean
  4. a detachable plastic sign holder: assholes feel invited to damage your car for having a uber/lyft sign on. You should have a detachable sign and take off the sign when you're not using the car.

  • fucking meme bait
  1. camera: don't fish for passengers in shit neighborhood and you don't need to worry about being robbed. I've seen Uber Man push for it, guess what, he's paid to do it.
  2. water and candy: these are only important to kids but kids are the stingiest reviewers anyway, candy and water are not worth the money
  3. newspapers, magazines, tablets: to be honest if you can get them free from local library there's no reason not to. But they're not worth spending money on.

  • should you buy a car for it
fuck no, do yourself a favor and get into the rental program offered by the rideshare company. I've seen guys who share the rental cars to cut the rental fee as well although it's officially forbidden.
  • what car is best for it
ev or hybrid. Those cars make twice the money for it with half the cost. chevy "b"olt not volt is supposedly the best one.
  • should you do food deliveries
yes, get a sealable thermal bag for it to prevent odorizing your car
  • should you work for multiple rideshare
not the first month, you want to get that sign up bonus and then if you feel confident sign up for the other
  • Where to pick up:
airports, sports arena, and theme parks. these are generous with parking structures and have great rate as well. beaches and bars are win-or-lose, they make horrible passengers and almost always fill your car out by trying to have 7 people fit in a small sedan.

advise on joining US military

  • go reservist or state
Same amount deployment missions, much better treatment and safer bases. You can go full time reserve and enjoy a better benefit than regular army shmucks.
  • look into MOS identifier training
bug your recruiter for this. In my case(vehicle mechanic), the MOS identifier was '-H8'. You are above your peers because you got trained to do more stuff. Any and all training you can take, take. It all adds up in paycheck and nobody will fuck with you just because you have little extra pin on your chest. It's stupid, but people in general are stupid.
  • fuck the top 25 job
Your recruiter will push you for these MOS, they are in demand, thus they get more points for shipping you in such job. What this means is that you're stuck. You will never be able to change MOS until you re up.
  • look into sign up bonus
Some of this shit can be tens of thousands of dollars. Also, if you got friend who wants to come, you get a bonus for signing someone else. Get that bonus and split with your friends.
  • learn the creeds and coc
In every unit you'll be at, you must know your job creed, soldier's creed, infantryman's creed, and your chain of command(boss names). There will be a lot of shit you need to memorize, don't be the one to get caught not knowing stuff you should.
  • do research on what banks your basic/ait has
You should have a bank account for banks in your training base. No, Chase or Bank of America or US Bank are not in all of the bases.
It's bullshit, but get it set up online so you can close those account later. I couldn't close my account in fort jackson until years later I decided to cave in and buy a plane ticket there to be physically there to close it.
  • Army Knowledge Online
make sure you pick an easy username and password to remember. Fuck the recruiters who tells you to make a secure un/pw. Fuck, put your last four ssn. There are ton of shits you will have to know, don't make more than you need to. Also, put their help hotline number on your phone. You will need it. You can change all that shit later after you get assigned to your unit.
  • Armystudyguide.com be familiar with your regulation
Your success is 100% based on your knowledge of your references, not your actual skill. This is a problem, but not something you can fix. Know your army regulation numbers and memorize them. Shit, I'll tell you right now. AR 670-1 (uniform standard), FM 21-20 (PT), and FM 3-22.9 (M16). Know at least those three regulations back to back. Trust me on this.
  • don't bring electronics
In training, they'll be taken away. Some training facilities are allowing them, but do yourself a favor and save the headaches. It will be a headache trying to get your shit back should anything out of the ordinary happen to you.
  • stationary
Stationary were allowed when I was in training, which I admit was 10 years ago. Bring notebooks and pencil, so you can draw/write and not be bored out of your mind. Religious books such as bible is also okay.
  • your recruiter is not the most knowledgeable person about military
Take what he tells you with a grain of a salt. Take what I tell you here with a grain of a salt. Every unit has their own standards, things are gonna be different. which leads to...
  • BASIC and AIT life
some places will put your entire platoon in a wide ass open room and you might end up living with the dankest stank ass mother fucker, with two working laundry machine for 2.5k troops. some place will let you stay in a private apartment room. Don't expect nice shit to happen to you, nothing is guaranteed.
  • mail
your family and friends are allowed to send you sweets. please have them do. You don't know it,
but you need them.

My old games and my high school crew

I have a story about this. Me and my group of high school friends were made of: myself the exclusively console kid, two 75% pc gamers who mainly played MMOs and FPS, and two dudes that played every games. I tried to spread my fighting game and beat em up enthusiasm to the rest of the group whenever I could. One of the idort kid, let's call him Far, was a social but the butt of the group since he said whatever the felt like saying and did whatever he did. He was not a bad kid at heart though. Anyway, my effort reached a fruition I guess because everyone seemed to enjoy games like D&D 2: Mystara and AVP the capcom arcade game. PS2 Launch comes around, and one of the mainly PC gamer bud buys Bouncer out of his savings. He was a 17-year-old with no work, he was really hyped for it to buy it from what little he saved out of lunch money. Then we had an all nighter one day at my place, and the kid forgot his Bouncer home probably because we were drunk as fuck from booze. From that day on, he proceeded to accuse Far for stealing his game. College time comes around, everyone was separated onto our own schools, hardly anyone met each other any more. I never went to college, and I stayed in my parents for a few more years. I decided I had to do something for my life and joined the army active duty as a mechanic. As I cleaned my stuff out of my parents' home, I noticed Bouncer and few games that weren't mine. I didn't pay them much mind, my parents weren't going anywhere and they didn't care to leave my stuff alone so I felt like I could return them when I have chance in future. 4 years later, I come home from my Army contract, and I found out that the kid passed away because he did too much drugs.

I don't have any contacts left for those old high school friends. I still have the game in my possession, hoping that I can return to the right owners one day. I'm so sorry guys.

How to save money early on in Ragnarok, pt 1-potting alt

A quick heads-up is if you have novice poring as your pet, your recovery rate doubles. You can also multi client a priest, which is free.

My two cents on potion alternatives that I personally liked;
1-meat with hell poodle or spring rabbit carded accessories heal as much as orange pots;
+it's cheap to set up and readily available in almost every cities
=added statues ailment, don't count on it, though
-weight cost
2-Ice creams with snowier carded accessories heal as much as yellow pots;
-need to have access to Jawaii
+ice cream drop activates really well on the go from kills of every monsters at 40% rate on two accessories as opposed to getting drops from a specific race
+cheap cards
-not as weighty as meat but still weighty to carry
3-fish and sushi with sea otter carded accessories heal about as much as red pots;
+card comes from a weaker monster
+not that weighty
=drops proc seperately, meaning you have 12% proc on two accessories which is passable but they only come from killing fish race
-Have to go to amatsu to restock
4-sky deleter carded armor;
=great for low level mobbing, but not so great after 80s
+cheapest pot alternative under lvl 80
-takes armor slot which really is better used for resists, flee or hp max increase aide
+allows one to be overweight and continue hunting
-disables natural regen
5-witch's pumpkin hat  gear combo, mainly with alarm mask;
-neither hats are that cheap for beginners
=no NPC to readily buy cookie from, but the drop rates are great anyway
+the loot pays for itself in about a month because cookie sells for good price
+the added defense against demon and undead really comes in handy
+no upgrade needed
6-rune headband;
+no upgrade needed
+good availability
-only a moderate rate of recovery tool for HP
7-rideword hat;
-have to upgrade to +9 for its true value, making it expensive
+well balanced HP and SP recovery makes it one of the most efficient tool
8-vanargand helm;
=doesn't require +9 upgrade for use, although that is what you probably want
-one of the more expensive hat of the game
+novices and super novices can wear one without link if you ever decide to make one
9-pirate's folly;
+cheap
-not as good as the other hats
10-turkey in your head;
+can use at endgame
-expensive
-have to upgrade for it to be useful
+pretty much permanent Increase Agi buff
-egg availability is terrible, and the hat doesn't produce it that well either
=really bad if using mainly for HP recovery, but it's actually a great hat otherwise
11-Horse king;
+it is a costume so the effects stacked with Rudolf when the effects were in
+The hat were free
-the effects are only seasonal
12-St. Patrick's Hat;
+produces green ale and drinks them too
-have to upgrade for its true value
-seasonal
13-Rudolf headband;
-seasonal
=hat can kinda go high in price depending on the market, not as bad as turkey/vanargand/rideword, though
+carrots are so cheap and light, they can be carried in the thousands
-14-Hunter Fly carded weapons;
+really good hp recovery
-each cards are expensive for newer players, and are heavily botted, so it is near impossible to be farmed manually
-goes to weapon slot which bogs down DPS

I've also heard good things about Easter Egg Shell, but I don't think that is really something OP is asking for.

Now, for the alternatives that were TOTAL WASTE of time and money in my opinion and why;
Umbala spirit-it's really expensive. So much to the point that it's better to just pot with whites.
Lunakaligo-used by pretty much battle priests only, and they usually can't carry that much aroud to begin with
shinobi and blazzer card-mainly just produces apples and potatoes, the good stuff don't drop often enough.
Any accessories card that produces lvl3 food; horrible production rate
Pizza Pie of Plenty-1% production rate and heals as much as a red pot. Total joke.

Personal memo

the thread that helped me forget 4chan:
http://boards.4chan.org/v/thread/275120498#p275120498

Breaking free from curse

Everyone who spends any time on the Internet frequently has at least one site to settle in. That could be anything, really, from a simple news site, to social network sites to forums to image boards. It may be an exaggeration, but I feel it isn't wrong to say that anyone who isn't doing work, but still on Internet is bored. It is natural human behavior to find a place to pass time, and other people who share a common interest. I was no different, and I had a need to set my home, if you will,  down somewhere.

That site for me was 4Chan. Not the first place, mind you. I guess now is a good time to talk about how I got there. When I first learned of Internet, I thought it was only made up of commercial and informational sites. I enjoyed reading updates of various anime and game sites very much-because 90's Japanese cultures were phenomenal-but I disliked how long I had to wait for new contents. Soon after, I discovered message boards, and my mind was blown away. Instead of waiting for days to get contents, messages popped up by hours! I begin searching through subjects that interested me immediately after. I started my internet no-life on Final Fantasy Worlds Apart, a miniature messageboard that was ran by some British guy who knew Japanese, and it was about the FF game series which was really big at the time. Then, around Final Fantasy Tactics or 8's release, I lost my interest, because of the drastic change the series has gone through. So, I moved to a few messageboards that were of my remaining interests, like fighting games. Sites like Orochinagi, Shoryuken, and SNK-Capcom still holds my user IDs, I'm sure. The problem is that Fighting game sites are competitive by nature, and so are the forum goers of fighting games. Although I was eventually able to adopt to the way things work down there, the path was hurtful and forum hierarchy annoyed me greatly. Around this time I found imageboards as I have been actively looking for porns. Then I got to old 5chan which, I liked, but eventually closed down for the Admin's personal reasons, and I followed the mass migration into 4chan alongside other users. I felt that being anonymous, I got to speak freely about my opinions.

It took me a decade, but I now see how untrue that is. Continue on another part due to post limit.

Ragnarok Online - About Axe Mech raising.

It's hard to find information on the current RO, because we're basically playing a black sheep episode compared to other officials. Other official server is playing 14.3 or later(Morroc reconstruction and 3rd class skill add on, job level expansion to 60), and we're playing 14.2. So a lot of guides are replaced since it's outdated for their servers. Your best bet is to find 150s on ROPD, befriend and talk to the 150s, and find your own opinion of it. I had to consult many mechs before me until I settled on a solid plan that suits my style.

Giant Axe and Hurricane Fury have high natural ASPD and can be enchanted for, so that's an option you can consider as opposed to defaulting to Pile Bunker. Bellum Guillotine has best raw damage on AxeBoomerang,
Sea Captain Hat[1] is a great hat exclusively for Axe mech with axe tornado and axe mastery aide. Ghost Ship Anchor Earrings are accessories that reduct the main 4 elements 5% exclusively for Mechs. Downside is that they are cash shop items, not cheap.

The Novice Guide

-Why the Guide, and why here?
-The guides at major guide sites such as GameFAQs are horrendously outdated and generally more for private servers based on pre-renewal than say, the official server, so I went through some crushingly wrong steps. I want to prevent others from as much pain as possible, because Novice is a long road to take.
As for why writing it here, the very nice Perma Novices of our forefathers have published their guides on the official site and major guide sites, unfortunately and unintentionally causing immoral merchants to overcharge such noted gears. Think about it.. should Smokie Card really be more expensive than a say, Muscipular Card? The Merchants will skew price at any chance. By posting the guide here, I can relay the informations to people who matter--my guildsmen--while hopefully keeping the merchants ignorant of things they can overcharge with. Finally, it also serves myself as a memo of info.

-Why should I care, if I'm not a Novice?
Everyone has to go through a Novice phase at trans; called High Novices. Although they have 25% more HP and SP than a normal Novice, their strategy are the same as normal Novice counter parts. You can save time when you get there, and perhaps you can impress your other trans friends while at it. Also, for those wanting to be a Super Novice, one has to stay as a normal Novice until level 45. Finally, most strategies employed by a Novice that does not involve the Play Dead skill can also be done by someone else of other classes.

-What's good about rolling a Perma Novice, anyway?
Novices have no exp death penalties, and respawn at 1/2 max health. This means, for those novices and super novices who are not planning to get the death-free buff of +10:
free travel back to last save point; and spawnpoint-exploit grind at Beacon Island, and other world towns; and relatively stress-free playstyle wherein it's completely ok to fuck around.
Another thing about Novices is that, since there hasn't been any class changes yet, it's possible to exploit the class change quests to move around for free. Notably, free travel to Einbroch and Amatsu. Novices are allowed to carry weight-free equipments. For High Novices, this means neat things like the ability to park 3 Fabre cards in his/her Novice Cutters for 300 extra HP. With Adventurer's Suit(+700), that number becomes +1000 extra HP and those cards are inexpensive.
Finally, while doing a story based quests and talking to NPCs in general, Novices are treated differently than another class character would be.

-Strategy
-Novice-only skills
Play Dead! Play Dead, to my knowledge, will bypass every PvE attacks, to include MVP skills. To use it offensively, the Novice should cancel hit animation of self during attacks with a Play Dead. If timed correctly, the mob will carry on as if it never noticed it was hit. As long as the Novice has enough SP, s/he can hunt every creature that is not aggressive. Lag is a factor on this strategy, as is base AGI.
On PvP, a Novice can use PD to trigger a Hunter's trap, and take no damage from it. However, most people at this point, are aware of the direct counter skills to Play Dead: Provoke; and Dispell, so it is unwise to Play Dead in WoE settings.

-Skills in General
Novices too can use normal skills. There are three kinds of skills:
(1)skills that activate while you attack something;
(2)skills that activate while you get hit; and
(3)skills that have to be manually cast.
The (1) and (2) skills have to make contact to activate, meaning "miss" does not trigger the skill.
Generally, the first two kinds of skills are free of SP for the Novice, thus, are much more practical on the Novice than the last one. SP doesn't come easy, and not only that, they tend to be more well-known so are more expensive on the market.

-PVE survival
Most mobs are aggressive. However, there will be many mobs that will change its mood from aggressive to passive, after chasing a Novice for a long distance. Most of the time, this can be seen after the monster displays /swt emote. For that very short moment, a Novice can use PD exploit or a long range skill to damage the monster, and go back to running away until it is "tired" again. The moment you see a "target ring" cast on your toon, Play Dead. You will be able to avoid most every PvE attacks. Use Play Dead to get back up from laying, and an aggressive monster will move towards you. This is useful in a party when you need to pull a mob away from your friends,
and when luring a mob into natural corners of a map you're on.

Build Strategy
-Dodge Novice
focus on agi and luk. This build type has the best survivability. Pet: Lunatic or Poring
-Critical Novice
focus on str, dex, and luk. The most well rounded buid. Pet: Chonchon Set: Grand Peco + Peco Peco Combo
-Wanna be Super Novice
focus on int and dex. Heavily relies on defensive skills. Slowest to level, most rewarding. Pet: Drops, Munak or Baby Desert Wolf
-Looter and High Novice build
focus on Agi and Str, use HP adding equips and cards. Fastest to level. Pet: Peco Peco

-PVP
Novice will not beat anyone on 2nd Job and above. That is just the way it is.
A Novice generally has easier time on Mages and harder time on Acolyte and Swordman.
Current iRO support all item use to include fly wing, if a Novice is on a match with melee type, the Novice should expoit this, and use magic scrolls.

-Novice, or Super Novice?
As you can see above, in theory, most skills that Super Novices naturally have can also be done by a Novice, although it takes an insufferable amount of play time to reach such feat. Also, the way a Novice casts a skill tend to be unreliable. A Novice has Play Dead, and Super Novice does not. If all else fails, and someone gets sick of playing a Novice, he can change class to another class that most complements his build. Super Novices cannot, however, they do get to use more skills at once, which is their strength. A Super Novice generally will beat a normal Novice on PvP. Generally speaking, Super Novices are regarded as the worst of the final classes, one only recommended for those who like Novices. However, it begs the question, if someone likes Novices, why would he stop playing as one?

Please comment on the guide and let any mistakes known.

JRPG guide

I am pretty knowlegable on this genre. Here is a copypasta from another message board for good jRPG recommendations up to 2010 ish.

This generation kind of sucks for those, you need to get into handheld for good ones. If you don't mind classics:

Tales of Phantasia for 2D Tales, Tales of Symphonia for 3D Tales, then you decide for the rest of the series
Wild ARMs 1,2,3, and 5 and decide if you like the series enough to try xf and 4
Breath of Fire 1-4
Dragon Quest 3-8
Rhapsody of Zephyr(Dreamcast)
Koudelka and Shadow Hearts series
Grandia 1-3, then decide for youself whether to play Xtreme
SaGa aka Final Fantasy Legend series on GB
Romancing SaGa on SNES
SaGa Frontier series and "Romancing SaGa" on PS2(not the same as one on SNES)
Star Ocean 1 on SNES, 2 on PS1 if you are the type to learn how to exploit a game, and play for characters
Valkyrie Profile 1 on PSX and 2 on PS2
Suikoden 1-2 and then decide for 3-5
Secret of Mana(aka Seiken Densetsu 2), Seiken Densetsu 3 on SNES. You might also like Sword of Mana on GBA and Legend of Mana on PSX. DISCARD THE OTHER MANA GAMES
Luna: Silver Star Story on either PS1 or Saturn, Saturn one is original
Golden Sun series on GBA only
Skies of Arcadia(aka Eternal Arcadia) if you like FF10 style gameplay and happy stories
Nostalgia on DS if you liked Skies of Arcadia
The Legend of Heroes 1-3 and Trails of the Sky on PSP
Phantasy Star 1-3 for something classic, 4 is the modern style take on the series.
Panzer Dragoon series on Saturn
Shining Force 1 and 2 on GBA or Genesis, 3 is an incomplete game
Zwei! on PC if you can get the translation to work
Summon Knight on GBA
Riviera on GBA or Wonderswan, PSP one has worse voice acting for better BGM. This is a /tg/ take on jRPG.
Front Mission 1-4 on PSX and PS2
Fire Emblem and Advanced Wars on GBA and NDS
Orgre Battle Series/Tactics Ogre for a RTS + JRPG hybrid
and Kingdom under Fire if you liked Tactics Ogre
Havest Moon: strategy and farming jRPG where you marry a woman to end a game
Alcahest: Square's action jRPG on SNES before they decided they liked movies for games
Einhander: Squaresoft's shoot em up
Stigma Star Saga: a really barebone shoot em up jRPG on GBA
Alundra: Dungeon Crawler on PSX
Evolution Worlds: compilation of Evolution games, the dungeon crawler, on GC
Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Star Force:
pre-set strategy on NDS if you like to find about Mega Man series lore
Guardian Heroes: short Beat-em-up and JRPG hybrid on Saturn
Super Mario RPG on SNES: focuses heavily on mini games and timing
Parasite EVE 1 and 2 on PSX: sci-fi/steampunk jRPG
Vagrant Story on PSX: action jRPG that take on Final Fantasy world
XenoGears on PSX: religious mecha anime game
Chrono Trigger on SNES and DS and Chrono Cross on PSX: very famous take by Squaresoft on time and dimention crossing
Legend of Dragoon on PSX
Legend of Legaia 1 on PSX ONLY: a fighting game and jRPG cross. AVOID THE SECOND GAME.
Persona: if you don't minding a Fatlus
and Digital Devil SaGa on PC, the first game: unforgiving 1st person horror jRPG.
7th Saga: very old school jRPG where you choose your heroes and the rest of playable characters may turn on you or join you depending on your recruitment.
ActRaiser 1 on SNES: action/strategy game wherein you are GOD and you salvage people
Terranigma on SNES: Buddhism take on an action jRPG - if you liked it, try Illusion of Gaia next
Chrystalis on NES: mix of Zelda 1 and 2 much like Final Fantasy Adventure, with sci-fi theme
Dark Cloud 1 and 2 on PS2: jRPG with more customization
LUFIA 2 on SNES: a jRPG wherein dungeons are completely made of puzzles
Earthbound(aka Mother) on GBA and SNES: a jRPG with modern setting and psychic kids
Land Stalker and Lady Stalker both on SNES and Genesis: action-adventure jRPG, with terrible control but good otherwise
Magna Carta 2: action jRPG, only play the 2nd one on XBOX360 then you decide if you want the rest on PC
PoPoLocrois on PSP: a long PS1 era style jRPG
River City Ransom: short beat-em-up and jRPG mix where you rescue your girlfriend with your bro.
Super Robot Wars Gaiden Endless Frontier on DS: an ecchi mecha game with tons of jokes in it.
Ys 1 anc 2 on PC or PSP, fuck the other ports: action jRPG where there is no "attack" command, you simply ram into everything

If you can't find PS1 games, then get the PSN versions. I have not mentioned Korean classics such as War of Genesis that aren't easily accessible in the West.

Easy Food: Pizza Omelet

Sup. This morning, I tried out the pizza omelet, and I liked it very much too. I figured I should give a few heads-up here, I found a easy way to do this.
1 - pop the yolk when frying them
2 - put the cooked egg on a dish
3 - put frozen pizza on top of the egg so that the pizza topping touches the egg
3a - microwave the whole thing for 1 minute
4 - peel the pizza crust with a spoon

Anamanoguchi hype

The dudes behind Scott Pilgram the game's OST just had a concert at DNA Lounge. These guys were pretty cool.  Even though I couldn't be there physically, I was able to catch the live on DNA Lounge Stream. I really admire guys like this. They were so hardcore at liking what they do, they made it work.

One voice about Puentes Hill Hyundai and buying a used car in America in general

This post is made to warn others(while reminding myself) of a vehicle purchase and what the dealers do to mess their customers up.

I recently bought an Accent 2010 model from Puentes Hill Hyundai in City of Industry. This is my fifth car. First one, 2001 Sonata, was more or less entirely paid off by my father. The Second one was a 1990 Jimmy, bought from my boss who was leaving the unit for a case of beer when I got to my duty station, Alpha Company 45STB 45SB, in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. After my then girlfriend crashed the car in an accident and totaled it, I got a 1995 Contour, which was absolutely the worst car I've driven. Fast forward past my discharge and my new work in civilian world, I got a 1995 Ford F350 modified into a moving center box truck, from UHaul which I got to put myself in case I needed to start a merchant work.

My first mistake was being a respectable person. My work schedule was hefty, and it was not easy to get a day off, hence I went there after work before the dealership shuts down. I did actually go there on my once-in-two weeks break on Sunday prior, but the dealer stood me up. Her name is Jenny Ahn of Puentes Hill Hyundai. So the second time I got there was a weekday night, and to my surprise she stood me up again. I called her twice on the way up there from Irvine to Industry, too. When I got there, the new 2010 Elantra that she promised me for 9500 did not exist. I had instead a 2010 Accent, an USED one. On top of that, the dealer herself was MIA. I would forgive being stood up the first time for anyone. The second time, though, hardly anyone in my shoes would. I was in the short end of stick since my apartment had been threatening me to tow away my box truck, and I thus needed to get rid of it. I reluctantly and against the better judgment, tolerated it and went ahead to deal.

I made many more mistakes stemming from that bad step. Since it was dark out when I got there at 7PM, even after inspection I failed to locate several paint scratches that I noticed a week later. Dealer's disgusting lie 1: "mint condition vehicle." This is less than a year old car. I count over 20 different scratches that cannot be patched. Speaking of a lie, here's another one: "recently serviced." Sounds ambiguous doesn't it? On a vehicle past 37,000 miles(how can that even happen with a car under a year old, anyway?), one under the excitement of buying a new car in a shiny place after traveling over forty miles to get that rare advertised price, could easily mistake that statement as what normal people mean, a 30,000 mile service. It's exactly what happened to me. The dealers only mean a Twenty Dollar oil change and nothing more when they say they serviced the vehicle. Two week later, I had a mysteriously noisy brakes and had to take the car to a local mechanic.
These mistakes net me so far over a grand, on a newly dogmad purchased vehicle. I'm not talking about a 10-year-old car from neiborhood gramps. "The Best Hyundai of Southern California" does this to their customers.

The car dealers operate on an entirely different thinking plane from the regular people. They like to make customers wait for a reason I could not comprehend. Here I was, ready to purchase a vehicle to them, they made me wait three hours doing absolutely nothing after I found the car. Seriously, after I gave the salesperson a clear message of what I want, how I can pay it, and what ever irrelevant personal information they got from me, they literally had me wait doing nothing. They were not processing documents, they were not handling another customer. They were surfing on the web and looking at me occasionally. Frankly I was a little offended and confused, since I had work to attend in less than 12 hours. What retail or service does this, besides a car dealership?

When they finally decided my 782-points credit was good enough, they sold me the car. Here's the catch, though. The customer must be ready to convince why he doesn't need options he knows won't need to the dealer. This was no easy battle. The dealership pushes four options: warranty on parts not covered by 'Hyundai's Best Warranty in the US'; a GPS; another confusing warranty that to me, sounded exactly the same as the first warranty, perhaps so customers not used to speak English fluently would buy both; and an option where they offered to restore any scratches for five years from purchase. It was an intense battle. My argument was that the warranty contradicts advertised advantages of "Certified Vehicles." When they're luring a customer to a car, they present Certificates, saying that the car is basically perfect and there won't be any worries buying a car used. However, when it's time to make payments, they remind the customer that after all, it is still a used car, so Certifications mean jack. The car that an hour ago, was perfect, now 'carries unknown risk, no one sees future.' Doesn't that seem like a contradiction to anyone else? I told him I got insurance, and the finance guy, Larry, was literally a bit flustered when I said that. He was trying hard to make sense of something that wasn't, because now he had to explain my own insurance that I hand-picked that I don't know what it covers. The car's price was 12000 USD, after trade-in it was 10000 plus tax. The warranty costs 2000 each, for 4000 extra total. I'm not a rich guy, I'm just a dude who works two MINIMUM PAYING jobs. These people who make living for selling three cars a month, try to argue that 4000 USD is not a big deal. Maybe to you, asshat, but not to everyone.
Then he explains the GPS. This one is funny. I am trained by U.S. Military in navigation skills. If you drop me off to an entirely unknown place, as long as I had the correct map and compass, I can get to where I need to. That skill, to the dealer, is now useless and I need to pay for 800-dollar GPS that doesn't even pay for my car when it gets stolen. It would provide a certain someone else besides me who I have no idea when they use the car an assurance. Right. I don't plan to share my car with anyone, especially someone neither you nor me knows. I showed him my four-dollar-compass and told him I'm straight. He glared at me to my surprise. He thought I wouldn't notice, but I myself worked in commission field. I know what the smiling "screw you" glare is, Larry the finance guy. Riiiight back atcha.
His remaining weapon was the "free" detailing. It costs one thousand dollars. One Thousand U.S. Dollars, to me, is saving up hard for three months, if not four. By saving up hard, I mean I do everything I fucking can, I am already pretty much at the lowest of the totem poll. That is not comprehended by these people who earn their entirety of their pay just by talking. It's not an easy money for me. It means working as hard physically and mentally draining if not harder as a fresh teenager at an age past 30 for me. For seventy hours a week, eating a lettuce and onion sandwich when my coworkers are feasting(and not even finishing on) their 12 Dollar Burger meals for four. months. straight.
When I was threatened to not get such a good deal on the car that I pretty much already secured, that the salesperson could give it to someone else, I had to give. The deal is that for twice a year, I can get the service. You know what though, I have to travel to the dealership, from Irvine where I live to City of Industry where the dealership is. That's four hours of my rare off day plus however much time it takes to work on the vehicle, on my gas, on my car. Only twice a year, so each time I go there, it's $200 per service. Has anyone seen an auto detail service that is $200 per visit? Not on a Hyundai Accent I have not. Let me know if anyone has. However, I was threatened to not make this deal, that someone else would have the car if I didn't get any options, that I had to sign it.
I hope the finance guy even knows what it is like to eat ramen for four months straight, passing off any cool new games/concerts/local amusement park reopenings during that time.
I left the dealership with a feeling not unlike that of muddy butt that day.

Fast forward three weeks, a bill came as agreed. Unlike as agreed though, I was not allowed to pay off my car. I tried online, cheque, and over-the phone. These greedy dealership wants the interest money, even if the customer has the money to do so! They charged me instead a "convenience fee" to make a payment more than the minimum.
Let that sink in for a second. The dealership punishes a customer to make on-time, earnest payments because they want to squeeze every interest money they can, and when insisted, adds a "convenience fee" since it's so inconvenient to bother the maintenance-free online computer to make the payment.

You really have to take extra grand out of me that badly, when you charged me a 14000 USD for a car that you promised me to sell at 9500 USD. I know I am not wrong in feeling rage in a such situation.

I outta notify this somehow other than my 5-visit-a-month weblog, honestly. The only reason to pull me back is they are Koreans. Then again, they are scamming their own people, so there you go. Please learn from my mistake, and avoid Puentes Hill Hyundai. They don't care about you.

"Why do when I play videogames I feel like I am wasting my life?"[sic]

You would if you produced nothing on the way:
 ripping soundtrack
 writing/filming walkthrough
 hunting for glitches and exploits
 speedrunning and recording replay
 learning back story of the game and how it was created
 fanwork i.e. comics and stories
 mod
 making unique controllers to fit the game
etc etc
such things would not only heighten the experience, but also helps you learn skills other than gaming.
Hard core gaming breathes new meaning to it all. If you are just a passive person, which is mostly fine, then you really don't distinguish yourself between the rest of mindless TV viewing public.

The General People who don't get it will give gamers a lot of shit just for being a gamer. That doesn't mean there isn't any meaning to it at all. As I grew, I still enjoy the same thing I did when I was decades younger, but I do it in a different light. When viewing a comic, I now know how it was made, what planning went through for the story and how it was colored. When watching a cartoon, I am now blessed to be able to marvel at the techniques employed to save or exaggerate key frames. When I play a Platformer A, I can see the decision behind why the developer chose to make jump certain way, how s/he gave momentum of player character. With this in depth look, these mediums only really grow more wonderful over time. Thus, I can only conclude that people who chose to keep their passion on have more in critical thinking in mind, than the soulless rest.

Tips about dealing with homosexuality

Treat private lives as illusion that it is. You know it doesn't matter what race someone is when it comes to the true character of that person. It's the same thing with sexual orientation, or the town they're from, or the type of blood they have, or their horoscope.

Note all those things I mentioned, there were time when people seriously judged someone else because of those traits. Not very fair right? You aren't being fair if you can't get over it.

Just know that they are 100% same people like you outside of their sexual life. Know that they're not into you, just because of orientation. You don't worry about straight people and what they do with their bf/gf so why should you care about someone else's?

Games

If you enjoy storytelling, adventures and text adventures are better than RPGs. Rougelikes are better role playing than wrpg/jrpgs, and for combat and resource management you should go for Strategy or tower defense games.
RPGs are just introductory games with big contents.

Easy to learn, hard to master, lack in variety tier
-Puzzle
-Music
-Shmup

Has depth, but too difficult to learn properly
-Fighting
-RTS / TBS
-FPS
-Rougelikes
-Management Simulation

Best enjoyed as a social means in short bursts
-Sports
-Racing
-Party / Traditional
-arcade simulation
-arcade ticket

Charming, but gets old fast:
-Rail Shooter
-Platformer
-Adventure
-Tower Defense

Cheaper than Lego:
-Sandbox

For people with elementary reading comprehension:
-Visual Novel
-Interactive Video
-Dating Sim
-Edutainment

-I only do chores in digital forms:
RPG

This word does not categorize gameplay:
MMO

My dream game before I forget about it

I don't even have a name for this yet. It's just something I have in mind. When I actually learn some C or C++ I think I'm gonna hack old games to incorporate this idea. Anyway, the idea is:

Game is a cross of beat-em-up and versus fighter. Imagine Ninja Warrior Again or Valkyrie Profile 2 and you see the basic looks of what I'm shooting for, A 2D or 2 1/2D world.

There are shops, interactive NPCs who can give you quests and you can give them items for friendship parameters, or deceive and steal from them for quest shortcuts, money, or items. Can recruit any NPCs in the game as a sidekick. The game will have a lot of quests, but no leveling, fuck that timesink shit. Rewards are gears, but players have only certain amount of gears they can keep to make things fair for newcomers. Gears are reflected on player sprites to encourage customization. I plan to find a way to make the game generate itself some random quests so I can focus on quests that advance user's stories while not spending too much time on random ones myself. A lot of main quests that I do myself will be cross-genre to make things fresh, like, a quest will have tower defense gameplay, another is a puzzle to get by a dungeon, overhead ship shooter, racing and so forth. This will be possible once I figure out how Capcom did it with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure PSX.

That's not even the meat of the game though. What I want is a total, customizable versus fighter that interacts itself into a beat-em-up. If anyone knows Variable Geo(the anime), then it's kinda like that where a ring appears when character is "challenged" by 2nd player or met a boss encounter. Fighting area can expand via classic shatter-the-corner method employed in Real Bout and other oldies. This time, you can swap with your recruit when you feel endangered and regain health outside the ring. Game is not over when your ally dies, but it's over when the main character does.  Since this would be an illegit indy game, I'd rip off every cool costume I can find. Superman with Goku's gi? you got it. Light Yagami head with Batman costume? Definitely.

You know how the leading fighting game company likes to make 7 different variation of same fucking character, and call those different? I'm sick of that shit, and I want to make a game where you have one character who can equip any variation of a single move(say, hadoken) as user's preference. The player will even get to customize input methods. Sick of doing sonic booms hold back-forward+punch? Now you can make it (hold punch), release! or any way you want. The inputs are zero-sum so no single input will be easier or harder, just more optimized for the player. This way, there can be many characters slots while being balanced. Like GwonHo, every while the selectable moves will be introduced and balanced.

Also, the player is never given a penalty for losing a game in his single player campaign. Plenty of story branches would allow to lose a game but trigger a sequence, not endgame, from it. When gameover happens, whatever they worked would be saved.

Since I suck balls with writing a good story, I will copy someone's good work or hire a good writer to do overall story, one that is not a save-the-world. A horror game or sci fi fits my preference, but doesn't have to be. In fact if I have the resources I will probably do a level creator.

Too grand? Of course. Dreams are meant to be grand. When I achieve them, that just makes it more kickass anyway.

Adventure

Commissioned for an anonymous person.

MvC3 fake hype is getting old.

I can't wait til the game comes out,
just so I can laugh at the ridiculous shit that came out of some of you during this hype thing.

there were:
Howard Duck;
sucking dicks off random facebook posters for "reveals";
people actually believing that Capcom would do an event on Jump Fiesta, an event that had nothing to do with Marvel;
wishing for Dio for that matter;
fanboys actually thinking Pheonix Wright belongs to a fighting game;
pretending spider woman comes from Spider Man comics;
people trying to decipher a video of a Japanese guy eating a dozen fucking donuts

on top of Capcom's masterful trolls such as the alternate color schemes, NATHAN Spencer, and Jill who looks nothing like her MvC2 self.
